“DNNCentric Recently Viewed pages” (RVP) is a small & handy module that can be used to show site visitors a list of pages recently viewed by them. It keeps on recording “page titles” of all pages viewed by a site visitor (both logged in and anonymous) in a SESSION Variable. The list of pages is rendered in simple UL/LI html format that is easy to theme through CSS file. Module has two components … RVP Tracker: Add this module on your site and “enable it to display on all pages”. This module will not render any UI but will just read the title of the displayed page and push it into a “RVP List” stored in a session variable. Importantly module records “page titles” and not page names. What this means is if you are inside a forum page then the “page name” still would say “Forum” but the page title will show current thread name.
RVP: This module can used to show users the list of pages. Place it anywhere on your page and configure the settings once and the module will start rendering “RVP List” in proper UL/Li html tag format.
